The staff of Computer Resources was delighted to receive a message from Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter at last week’s off-site professional development day.
We recognize that Representative Shea-Porter shares many of our values with regard to education and the need for partnerships that include local, state and federal government, private industry, non-profits, educators, communities, and parents. Our shared concern about “schools’ limited resources, and therefore, their ability to fully use technology to inform and identify, to assist and evaluate” compels us to work together to find solutions for managing data so educators can best use the information to help students succeed.
According to Shea-Porter, legislators are trying to respond and assist schools by introducing bills such as the Transforming Education through Technology Act. This initiative “awards grants to carry out activities that utilize technology and digital learning to promote: (1) Personalized, individual instruction; (2) improvements in teacher and school leadership preparation, professional development, knowledge, skills, practice, and professional capacity; (3) students’ equitable access to high-quality curriculum, instruction, assessments, technology, and digital learning; and (4) educational efficiency and productivity.” Computer Resources is pleased to be a part of this effort.
Since 1978, Computer Resources has been servicing the educational community and has earned an outstanding reputation for providing powerful and reliable school management software. With our MMS Student Information Platform, we provide a wide range of tools and services to create a healthy and organized school where educators can stay focused on student and teacher performance. Our team of dedicated professionals, which includes former educators, specializes in meeting a school’s needs. We are grateful that Representative Shea-Porter supports us in our efforts to focus on quality, reliability, innovation, and complete customer satisfaction as we help educators serve their constituencies.
